When you’re making three life-changing commitments

Military couples live an extremely unique lifestyle that no one really gets unless they are living it.

Military relationships are not just different from usual relationships but also extraordinary.

Hey,

I’m not trying to think less of regular relationships so if you’re shaking your head at this, my point is:

“Our relationship is a beautiful combination of love, romance, joy, pain, separation, and sacrifices”.

It’s really, really really hard at times and feels overwhelming but it gets better😀 ( You can read my awesome post Welcome to the Military for more).

Military relationships are just not about love and promises but also about duty and the nation.

We actually make three huge commitments!

One to our spouse, and the other two, to the military and the nation.

Where else do you find this beautiful blend of LOVE, PEACE, and PATRIOTISM?

YES,

Military spouses do serve the country in their own way.

I say this because, soldiers are not all about camos, guns, and boots. They have families and when they go away for the nation’s benefit they leave their families behind.

Guess who takes care of everything at the “Home-Front” (including the soldier’s heart)…..Their SPOUSES!

I live this life, it’s full of surprises.

You’ll laugh and cry( You’ll always say goodbye with tears in your eyes). I

At first, it was huge for me, I couldn’t exactly pinpoint why I do this until I realized I do it for LOVE. Yes, I love my soldier even more than I did when we got married😊

Okay…okay, enough of my love story, back to what I was saying. The soldiers while in the field always think about their families. That’s one of the things that really keeps them going out there especially when they know they have a dependable spouse( one that has the home-front covered).

Also, they always know at the end of all the shooting and running around, they still have loved ones to go back to, and just like their spouses, they also long for reunions( that awesome moment gives military couples BUTTERFLIES hehe).
